Strings, Wind Pipes and Reverberating Colours

i finally bought a classical compilation cd!..yeay..been wanting one for some time now, ever since i watched "Nodame Cantabile" on animax..hehe..

the cd is called "Unforgettable Classics : The Most Unforgettable Mellow Classics Ever" from One Utama MPH..they had solo cd's of mozart, rachmaninov, haydn and  ravel as well, but i thought i'd just get a compilation first since i'm still quite new at classics..maybe once i've gotten familiar with each musicians style and made sure whose i prefer then i'll start collecting the solos i guess..hehe..

there was this beautiful piano sonata by Ravel (i think) called "Water" ke, "Ripples" ke, "Rain" or something on Nodame..i thought that was sooo beautiful..the Ravel cd at MPH was not in English though so i had no idea what it said..haha..

so yeah, i'm very much into classics right now..if anyone who reads this has great classical/orchestra/quartet/etc knowledge, please drop me some suggestions alright..especially something along the lines of cronos quartet, metallica's S&M, evanescence's lacrymosa, and such rock-ish orchestra-ish stuff..it would be much appreciated :)
